2008 Pig Roast

We had a crazy weekend with lots of visitors from out of town! I’m such a lucky kid!

My cousin Kyrah, Tia Ines, and Cousin Johnny (who slept on the top bunk of my big boy bed so that made him my best friend before I even met him).

My greatgrandparents and my Tia Karen and the Schusters came to visit.

I love my Tia Mimi

Dad puts on quite the party.

Big Boy Room

My new bedroom is mostly finished! This weekend, I’ll be sharing it with our houseguests. It’s no problem for me because I’m still happy sleeping in my crib and not ready to move to the big boy bed. And that’s a BIG bed. I love my room! (These aren’t the best pics, you’ll have to come visit to see the real thing)

The bed has a full bed on bottom and a twin on top. Lots of space for friends and family to sleep over! Come on!

Learning my US geography from my bedding.

This world map faces the full bed and you can see it as you lay down. Not a bad thing to fall asleep thinking about! Oh the places I’d like to go!

We have all 50 state license plates up around the room (in order of their induction into the US).

On my dresser I have the train Aunt Talia painted for me! Also some cool car photos.

My bookshelf with awesome bookends that mom made.

US map on my bulletin board with pins for places I’ve been (the yellow pins are mine, and the red ones are mom and dad’s). And some postcards that people have sent me. Keep ‘em coming!

Frisbee

I’ve now decided Frisbee is my favorite sport. I have awesome aim and after a few good throws, I yell, “I’m on fire!”

Hair Update

Thought I’d let you all see how my hair is progressing. It’s still a mullet/skullet, but slowly creeping forward. It might get long enough soon that we’ll be able to comb it forward and cover my oversized forhead – it does seem that my head keeps growing.

Of late there has been some public outcry about a proper grooming plan. Should I cut the back? Should we shave it? (My least favorite idea). Comments welcome.

You can see what happens when it’s a bit messy:

Red, White and Blue

4th of July gear is important to show off your patriotism.

Noticed my monogrammed shirt:

Yes, that is a “Cuba Libre” bandana:

With Abuela, Natalie and Abuelo:

Havana and Charley:

Everyone in red, white and blue watching the parade:

Ladies in red, white and blue:

Mark at the parade, chopping a block in half with his sheer might:

Even the bagpipers were in Red, White and Blue:

And the fire truck!
