Lecce

After two days of car travel, we arrived in southern Italy – the “heel of the boot”. We stopped on the way in Tivoli and had lunch next to roman ruins, then went to Caserta and saw Italy’s version of Versailles.

Once to Puglia we stopped in Aberabella to see the Trulli houses. They were just my size. Now we are in a city called Lecce and Wednesday we leave for Rome.

I said, “Where are we going?”
Mom said, “To Lecce.”
I said, “Good, I want chocloate milk!”
Mom said, “Not leche, LECCE!”

We made it to Tuscany

After two days of travel, we finally settled down in our place in Tuscany.

Our 11 hour flight from Seattle was pretty awesome – I had my own TV with kids channels and I watched Bob the Builder. I managed to sleep about 5 hours before we landed. Once in London, I got my passport stamped and we were off to enjoy our long layover. My favorite part were all the train rides – my parents kept calling it the TUBE.

We took the next flight to Rome and Mom told me the story about Pinocchio and said he lives in Italy. The Rome airport lost my carseat – our Italian driver said “In Italia – no problemo.” Once to our hotel, we went straight to bed. The next morning we went to see the Pope at the Vatican, we thought we had an audience with him, but he stood us up. Oh well, maybe next trip.

Nothing would do until I had my very own Pinocchio – in fact, I talked about nothing else. Luckily, we found a shop where I could get one.

Then we hopped a train to Tuscany and met up with Uncle Mark, Aunt Shauna, Grandma and Jidi. Grandma made us homemade Bolognese as we enjoyed our first night in Tuscany. Leave it to Grandma to learn to cook here.

I will try to post pictures soon! We are off to the vineyards!

Pumpkin Patch

It’s that time of year again – a fun trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Abuela and Abuelo were in town, but only Abuela came with us because Abuelo won’t go out into the cold – he offered to keep Moose company while we went.

At first, I wouldn’t get into it, the pumpkins were pretty dirty. After awhile I had a snack, warmed up and was even willing to sit in the wheelbarrow.

Here are more details…

So, supposedly this is a picture of the baby…I can’t tell what the heck this thing is.

Mommy and Daddy say that I’ll have a new baby brother or sister by the 1st week of May. At least I’ll have one more birthday on my own!

Do I have to share my blog with it too? Don’t worry – we took some great pictures at the pumpkin patch today…by tomorrow we’ll be discussing me again.
