Basement update

The basement project is coming along slowly but surely. Mom is very excited about the laundry room – I cried when they painted it pink.  Real tears.

I really wanted it to be brown.

They let me paint the closet – so that cheered me up. I really wanted it to be black, but I agreed that white was good too. I’m a really big help! Much more help then I was painting Annabel’s closet last year. (Dad and I worked hard for about 2 hours!)

I’m so excited about the toilet!

And I think it’s hilarious that the ‘hot is cold and the cold is hot’ – they will have to take it out and fix it!

The goal is to be done in time for the Easter Bunny to see it!

Like a lowland gorilla

Annabel is now 10 months old and starting to move! Mom calls this crawling, but Dad says she looks more like a Gorilla.

You will notice at the end of the video – how excited she gets when I get home. I make everyone’s day.

If you are wondering why I’m biking in the living room, you should know that my mother has lost her mind due to basement renovation.

Valentine’s Grooming Salon

Dad and I had a boys’ trip to his barber – Valentine.
I got the royal treatment ($17) and we were there for over an hour and a half! From now on, I’ll be seeing Emily for my local hair cutting needs.

Basement construction

We’ve had some water leaking into our basement during big rains (a typical Seattle problem.) My parents finally decided to do something about it and it’s about time. Unfortunately, to solve the problem, we’re having to tear apart the majority of the basement. Luckily, I’m a big helper, I’ve got tools and I’m making friends with the construction guys. Here are pictures of the progress. Or lack of progress.
