Happy Easter

Today is my 6th Birthday! But first things first, yesterday was Easter.

What a beautiful day it was! We are all fighting the end of a cold and the sunshine was welcomed!

To celebrate Easter this year, we got ready by painting Easter eggs:

Annabel was very concerned that the Easter Bunny would steal the earrings out of her ears. Luckily, that did not happen (of course not) and now she’s very pleased that he came. She said “I wish the bunny could come to my house again so I could say ‘thank you’”.

She accidentally broke a couple of eggs, so I left a message for the bunny:

It says: “Easter Bunny, two eggs have broke, can you bring us some eggs and some chocolate?”

Here we are hunting for eggs:

It was so warm and pretty yesterday, we decided to spend the morning at the Zoo.

Then we had an egg hunt with the neighbors

To celebrate the coming of spring, the swimsuits made it out! You know you are a true Seattlelite when it’s 63 degrees and we are in bathing suits!

Pajama Jammy Jam

Last Saturday we celebrated my 6th birthday with another dance party! This year the theme was “Pajama Jammy Jam” and my friends all came in the their PJs ready to party.

I’m a lucky kid – I have a bunch of neighbors, friends from my old preschool, my PEPS peeps, and OF COURSE, all my new friends from kindergarten. Apparently, the Jammy Jam was the place to be because we had 30 sixish year olds, 3 preschoolers, 3 tweens (neighbor helpers) and 1 baby! Not to mention a few chaperones to keep the party going.

DJ Daddy was back and in full effect:

Princess friends

Annabel renamed her princesses after her friends from school:

Not quite spring

It’s still winter here, especially in the mountains. I had Friday off of school, so mom and I headed east to Steven’s Pass for a day of skiing. There was 13 inches of fresh snow from the night before and 24 inches from the last few days.

There’s definitely a few more weeks of good skiing before the end of the season and I hope to go up again.

By Fridays, I’m usually toast from a busy week, so I needed lost of breaks.

Yup, those are candies in my hot cocoa, mom is fun to ski with.

Her favorite part? Snuggling on the lift:

We did quite a few blue runs, so we went pretty slowly. Here ate my stats from the day (minus the last two runs – which might have been the fastest and longest)

Here’s how I amused myself while waiting for mom to return her rentals:

Cool big cousin

I idolize my big cousin, Anthony. He plays baseball and is awesome at it!
He just sent me this, thanks!

Zebra

Annabel loves to color.
She says: “this is a sad zebra eating grass”
