Six years ago, I came into this world and I’ve been having an awesome time ever since!
You saw the posts from the big Pajama Jammy Jam, but yesterday was my ACTUAL birthday, and I had an amazing and special day.
As a big surprise, Dad showed up at school to volunteer as a reading helper in the class. He got to see first hand how much I like school and what an amazing group of kids I’m with everyday.
Later in the day, Mom, Annabel and Grandma brought me cookies and balloons. This is when the whole class sang to me:
I’m so proud of my sister – when my friends found out that she was on campus and about to come to class, they were all so excited!
She got to stay during “Investigation” (That’s fancy Kinder speak for “Playtime”.)
My favorite activity of late, is playing with LEGO and building blocks. In our class, we have a “Block Room” – the highlight of most my days. You can see me bending over helping clean-up.
If it was up to me and my sister, she’d already be in Kindergarten with me.
For my special birthday dinner, I requested sushi from Blue C Sushi – a place I love.
Among, many LEGO sets, I also got a new basketball and a new baseball bat. Here I am testing the new bat.
After dinner cake (not a great photo)
What do I love now that I’m six?
Favorites:
TV show: Wild Kratts Movie: Dolphin Tale Activities: Sports, Chess, Dance, Reading and being read to, being with friends and cousins, skiing, board games, and much much more! Food: Pasta, Enchiladas, cinnamon rolls, candy, juice, cookies and sushi. Toy: LEGO
And, as a special show for my birthday. I danced to my absolute favorite song: Sexy and I know it, by LMFAO. Here I am. Enjoy.
Last Saturday we celebrated my 6th birthday with another dance party! This year the theme was “Pajama Jammy Jam” and my friends all came in the their PJs ready to party.
I’m a lucky kid – I have a bunch of neighbors, friends from my old preschool, my PEPS peeps, and OF COURSE, all my new friends from kindergarten. Apparently, the Jammy Jam was the place to be because we had 30 sixish year olds, 3 preschoolers, 3 tweens (neighbor helpers) and 1 baby! Not to mention a few chaperones to keep the party going.
DJ Daddy was back and in full effect:
Mom, Mamy, Grandma and Viviana wore special pjs:
My mom made us pajamas to wear:
Waiting for the party to start (admire my sign that says “happy birthday ben”
Michael, as usual, is the first to arrive:
We had so many dancers on the dance floor – this is the most dancing we’ve seen yet!
Between sets, we took breaks for crafts and food:
Limbo is always a hit:
As a special present, Aunt Mamy got me an awesome cake:
All my friends signed an album for me:
Thanks everyone for coming – this will be a year I never forget!
Thanks to the chaperones – we could have not handled this without you:
Dancers: Marcelo, Rachel, Amy, Larry, John
Servers: Cathie, Jan, Tristan, Sanguen
Crafters and clean-up: Gracie, Callan, Evie
Will, Audrey and I are in ski school every week for the next 8 weeks. It was tough getting back out there after a year, but after a couple hours I had a decent run.
Then we have so much fun together just playing in the snow.
Like I said, a little wobbly
While we were skiing, Annabel ran into some other friends who had baby skis that she could try.
She went down a hill too!
And at the end of the day, I said “everything is sore except my phalanges.”
