Dancing in Berlin
Ben,
How are you? I know you are starting camp today and I hope some of your school friends will be there. I’ll be home on Wednesday so you can tell me all about it then. I was so happy to hear your voice on the phone yesterday – maybe we can skype this afternoon. I went swimming yesterday and saw some boys about the same age as you and I kept watching them – I really miss you.
We saw these people dancing in Berlin when we were walking around. They put their hats out on the ground hoping people would put money in them.
You would have enjoyed seeing it – so I videotaped this for you:
You can see me in this one:
Hula hooping
On Sunday I met a nice lady selling hoops in the fremont Sunday market. Eager as always to try something new, I tried one on. It was really tricky at first, but now I’m hooked.
A new favorite song
A little pre-dinner dancing on an normal Friday night:
Baby bootcamp
It’s long overdue – while Annabel has perfected her scooting around the house – she has yet to learn to roll over and sit up without help. This past weekend, Mom enlisted her in her own version of bootcamp to finally get her moving – and Annabel loves it! Here is the success:
My 1st Dance Recital
Today was my first ever dance recital – a wonderful 2 hour affair where all the wonderful classes from my dance studio perform. I got to mingle with the adult and kid dancers backstage. I’m pretty proud of me and my friends. (Troy just turned 4 like me and Raffi is 3).
Here is our tap number:
Here is our ballet number (It’s worth watching until the end for the exit antics…)
Miss Marlo put on an awesome show – we can’t thank her enough! Especially for including an all boys class in her line-up.
Annabel in action
Annabel:
-is 11 months old
-is a good eater
-laughs in a funny, kinda creepy way
-knows where her head is
-waves hello and goodbye
-is a joy for me to have around!
More Ben singing
As we wait for the Easter Bunny – my preschool learned “little bunny fufu” in Spanish.
(and I’m wearing my painting mask and homedepot apron)
Like a lowland gorilla
Annabel is now 10 months old and starting to move! Mom calls this crawling, but Dad says she looks more like a Gorilla.
You will notice at the end of the video – how excited she gets when I get home. I make everyone’s day.
If you are wondering why I’m biking in the living room, you should know that my mother has lost her mind due to basement renovation.
So much for clean jammies
Annabel is 9 months old now (16lbs and 27.5 inches) and starting to move around on her own. She wiggles, throws things, lunges, and can do a kinda backwards crawl thing.
She was playing before bed and I think she’d had too much dinner. I like to watch the end of this video again and again and again.
Annabel swings
Here’s a video of Annabel’s first time on the swings – it’s not the best quality (from Dad’s phone) but believe me – she loved it!
